Gas in stomach or intestine or flatulence and bloating in cats are the common problems that need immediate attention of the owner of the cat. Early on treatment can prevent you from big problem while any delay may make the situation worse. Gas trouble in our pets is usually unpleasant for us and uncomfortable for themselves. In simple words, gas problem in animals arises when their digestive system is getting complex and not functioning properly.   • Check with right quantity of food to your cats. You should know the right amount of food requirement of your cat per meal and per day. This will help you prevent your cat from over eating.
  • Ensure high quality food and balanced meal for your pet. Fresh and high quality food can help a lot in maintaining good health of your pets. Flatulence can be prevented with little attention and observation by the owner of the animal. A change in food might be cause of sudden gas in the cats.   • Trash food feeding is one of the major causes of flatulence in cats. So, avoid trash food eating as much as possible.

  • Do prefer bottled water over chlorinated water. Filtered water is always recommended for the pets by the experienced vet. Fluoridated water isn’t better for your pets at all.
  • Use clean bowls of stainless steel or glass for food and water. Plastic bowls are, actually porous and there are many chances they become the breeding places for bacteria. So, avoid plastic utensils for your pets at all.
